Kitchen Refurbishment

Thanks to a huge effort from the Trust Chairman & Peter Burnett with help from the rest of the committee the Lodge Kitchen has been fully refurbished.

The refurbishment has seen the kitchen been updated to catering standards with stainless steel work surfaces, drawers and shelves. The walls have been coated in a specialist paint product and a new resin flooring laid. Two new stainless steel full height fridges and a full height freezer have replaced the exiting ones.

Bedroom Renovation

The bedroom renovation project is now nearly complete, with one remaining bedroom (Selside) left to complete.

The news section of the website has been updated to use wordpress. With this update we hope to be able to keep the news section of the site more upto date. We will also be hopefully adding more features to the news section as time allows.

Update: Cottage Section

The cottage section of the website now includes pictures of all rooms in the cottage (recently added a picture of the front bedroom and the bathroom.)

Old Pictures of the Lodge

During a small tidy up we came across a couple of interesting bits and pieces including a report of work to be done during the renovation, which took place in 1980. This report includes a number of pictures we estimate that the were taken during 1979. While they don’t show Gearstones in its current state (or inside) they may be of interest to anyone who has ever visited.
