40 Years of Gearstones Trust & Open Days

On the 2nd of June 2012 we celebrated the 40th year of the trust that runs Gearstones Lodge. To mark this occasion we will be holding a number of events – including a stall at the Mirfield Show and a few open days up at the lodge.

We would also like to hear for anyone who has early memories of the lodge, or any photographs of how the lodge used to look. We’d love to build a more complete history of early use of the lodge.

Open Day
On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of September we will be running open days up at the lodge for past, current and future users of lodge to look around or share memories of the lodge. The planning for the open days is still at an early day so if you would like to attend or wish to be updated when more news becomes available please email open.day@gearstones.com or fill out this form

Small Virtual Tour Update

The virtual tour page has been update with a few new photos including the newly refurbished Selside and the Education Unit.

Kitchen Refurbishment

Thanks to a huge effort from the all the volunteers the lodge kitchen has been fully refurbished.

The refurbishment has seen the kitchen been updated to catering standards with stainless steel work surfaces, drawers and shelves. The walls have been coated in a specialist paint product and a new resin flooring laid. Two new stainless steel full height fridges and a full height freezer have replaced the exiting ones.
